To use the Xbox One wireless controller, you need to go through your computer’s Bluetooth if it has this technology. Most laptops are Bluetooth-enabled and here’s how to do it:

  • On your PC, go to Settings – Peripherals.
  • Choose Add Bluetooth or another device.
  • Select Everything else.
  • Select Xbox Wireless Controller.
  • Click Finished.

If you don’t have Bluetooth in your computer, you need to use the official wireless adapter, then the installation is done in the same way.
